About Us
Meet Caroline
Caroline has been designing interiors and carving out a niche for herself since her tweens! She was continually re-arranging the furniture, coming up with colours and new ideas, or breathing new life into something only worthy of the bin; Caroline soon found her identity being the imaginative one in the family home.
After studying with the highly accomplished Interior Design Institute, Caroline co-founded Expressions with her husband and best friend Owen, with a vision to create inspired spaces and experiences that encourage people to live in each moment through functional design.
Before Expressions, Caroline had a successful career working in both the public and private sector supporting people with their wellbeing; this was paramount during the recent pandemic, highlighting the importance of having a home that feeds you with positive energy. A place that provides comfort and beauty, and somewhere you can feel like yourself.
With Caroline's passion for creativity and combined business experience, Caroline wants to bring joy to people's lives so that when you walk into a room, it's a place you call home, full of peace and tranquillity from the outside world, somewhere that ignites your senses.
Meet Owen
It all started with Lego! As a child, Owen would spend hours building elaborate models in all shapes and sizes. If he wasn't building, then he would be tinkering in the garage trying to make a masterpiece out of an old piece of wood. After many years of climbing the corporate ladder and a degree in business management, Owen decided it was time to re-visit the passion and joy he found from those childhood memories. Through several house renovations, Owen was given a golden opportunity and asked to work alongside some of the best carpenters and joiners in the field. 10 years later and a skilled tradesperson, the phone doesn't stop ringing and Owen is asked to make the impossible, possible.
Owen infuses Expressions with an unwavering entrepreneurial spirit, fueled by creativity, boundless enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic developed from over a decade in senior management roles. His journey of steering customer experiences has been nothing short of inspiring. When we consider the wealth of corporate expertise held by Caroline and Owen, it's what motivates us at Expressions to embrace operational excellence, foster collaboration, and thrive as a team. We're truly dedicated to creating a thriving partnership with you at the very heart of it all.
